Best Bridal Retailer (East Midlands) at The Wedding Industry Awards 2020
We went to our first-ever awards ceremony on Tuesday night, and we only went and won the flipping thing!
We were at The Wedding Industry Awards for the East Midlands region, held at The Pumping House near Ollerton in Nottinghamshire. We’d been shortlisted for Best Bridal Retailer 2020 thanks to the kind votes from our brides over the past year or so. And I was shocked, amazed and so so happy when the name Alexandra Anne was read out by TWIA founder and chief judge Damian Bailey. I truly didn’t expect it at all!
We were also thrilled to see Lorien from Storeybook Cakes take home the Award for Best Cake Designer. Lorien designs and makes all the tasty treats for our VIP Sunday appointments, so I know how hard she works and how ridiculously talented she is.
As one of the regional Wedding Industry Award winners, next it’s on to the National Finals in London on 15th January, where we’ll be up against 7 of the best bridal shops in the UK for the crown.
